In early November Macaela and I competed at the last major competition of the year. The Western Canadian Regional Oireachtas, in Edmonton Alberta.
What a day that was... a day we will never forget. It was also a great day for the Nora Pickett Irish Dance Academy and for the Bradley-Tse sisters.
Firstly, the U10 Ceili Team won their competition, which not only brought home 1st Place Trophy but it qualified us for the North American Championships in Chicago.
I won my U9 competition out of 50 dancers from all over Western Canada and Macaela placed 3rd in her U11 age group. We were so happy with our placings and how we danced and that we both qualified for the North American Championships in Chicago in July 2012. Macaela also qualified for Worlds again in Belfast Ireland in March 2012.
Emma also danced that weekend at the Mini-Feis winning lots of medals and a trophy. She moved up some of her dances getting her closer to the next level, Preliminary Championship.
Both Mum and Dad were so happy and proud of all of us, they said it was one of the best weekends of Irish Dance we have ever had.
The best part of the weekend for me was the Parade of Champions which didn't take place the day we danced but on the next day so all the winners could be together at the same time. I have dreamed about being in a Parade of Champions for a long time, I was so happy my dream came true.
