The "DRESS"

Well okay , where do we start.......

In December we were in the process of starting Macaela's new dress for Worlds in March 2012.

One day Caitlin said to me "Mum I really want a new dress for All Irelands". I was surprised but not as I knew Caitlin was thinking of every aspect of the Competition from her steps in her dancing, to her fitness level, to her overall look.... the whole package or image as she says. I told her that I understood her thinking but that we needed to talk to Macaela to see if Caitlin could go ahead and have her dress made and ready for February. Of course Macaela being the understanding sister totally knew that it was the right thing to do for Caitlin so the new "DRESS" was started.

Caitlin had a vision and what a vision that it was.... we met with our very talented and understanding dressmaker Hannah, a couple of times. With a little help from our forever fantastic Courtney Rose, Caitlin's design was given the thumbs up. So fabrics were chosen, the final sketch was decided and the dress was going to be started and ready in time.

It is hard to believe that at the age of 9 one can be so naturally talented, committed and focused but that is who our Caitlin is. She has had the dream of competing at the All Irelands for over 2.5 years now it is only a week away.

We know that this new dress will help her achieve her goals and we couldn't be happier and prouder of her for realizing and knowing what it will take for that to happen. We hope you love Caitlin's new dress as much as we do.
